Troubleshoot Solar & Battery
If your solar devices are offline, here are some steps that can help.
Hive Hubs have a range of around 10 metres in every direction. But this can be reduced by physical barriers, such as thick walls and electronic interference, such as TVs, radios and smart speakers. So, wherever you place your Hive tech, whether it’s lights, plugs or your hub – make sure there are no barriers in front of them.

Top tip: If you’ve moved your Hive tech and it’s still not working correctly, use Hive Plugs and Lights as signal boosters to increase the range.
We recommend giving your boiler a quick check before the cold really starts to set in. Follow our steps below and if everything’s working as it should – great. If not, you can either book a one-off repair or try some DIY fixes from our friends at British Gas.
Boiler check steps:
On a cool evening, turn your thermostat up to 30°C
Set your radiator valves to max and wait for half an hour
Check your boiler’s on and all your radiators are hot
