How can we help you?
What are Siri Shortcuts and how do I use them?
Hive supports two different types of Siri Shortcuts: Activating Quick Actions and checking your Hive View cameras. Both require your iPhone to be running iOS 12 or later.
Quick Action Siri Shortcuts
Quick Action Siri Shortcuts let you use Quick Actions in Hive just by talking to Siri on your iPhone. This makes it really easy to set your home exactly the way you want it using just your voice.
Before you can use Quick Action Siri Shortcuts, you’ll need to set them up. To get started, follow these steps:
• Open the menu in the app
• Tap 'Actions'
---
• If you already have Quick Actions, tap on the one you’d like to use with Siri.
OR
• If you don’t have any Quick Actions set up then you can find out more here. After creating a Quick Action you’ll be asked if you’d like to add this Quick Action to Siri.
---
• Tap ‘Add to Siri’ to record a convenient phrase to trigger the Quick Action. We recommend using the name of your Quick Action, for example “Movie night” or “All lights on”.
• Once you’ve chosen your phrase, tap 'Done'.
• That’s it! You can now say this phrase to Siri to use your Quick Action.
Hive Hint: After setting up Quick Action Siri Shortcuts you can also use them with Siri on your Apple Watch (watchOS 5 or later) or HomePod.
Hive View Siri Shortcuts
