How do I set up temperature notifications for my Hive Active Heating?
You can set up temperature notifications to alert you automatically if your home gets too hot or too cold. To create or change these notifications at any time, go to Actions in the Hive app.
To create a new heating notification in the Hive app:
- Open up the Heating control page for your thermostat in the Hive app.
- Select the “Actions” tab.
- Tap + to create a new action.
- Scroll down and select “Get a notification when the temperature is high” or “Get a notification when the temperature is low”.
- Select the temperature you’d like to be notified at and how you want to be notified, then give your Action a name and save it.
You can also set up temperature notifications in your online dashboard:
- Once you have logged in, select the “Actions” tab.
- Click the "+ Create new action" button.
- Scroll down and select “Get a notification when the temperature is high” or “Get a notification when the temperature is low”.
- Select the temperature you’d like to be notified at and how you want to be notified, then give your Action a name and save it.
You have the choice to receive one or all of the following notifications: Push notifications, Email and SMS (SMS is available for Hive Live customers only).
That’s it! You’ve now set up temperature notifications for your Hive Active Heating.
