              How many chargepoints does Zapmap cover?
              Zapmap has around 75,000 chargepoints mapped within their app – that’s over 95% of all the public chargers in the UK. And over 25,000 of those are Zap-Pay enabled, allowing you to use your free £20 credit to charge up. With more chargepoints getting added every day, simply filter your results in the Zapmap app to see your nearest one.
              How do I find Zap-Pay enabled chargepoints?
              Filtering your search results in the app is easy. Simply tap the Filter icon and select the Zap-Pay payment option to see enabled chargepoints across the UK. You can also filter by connector type, network, power output and more for a truly personalised search.
              What is Route Planner?
              Zapmap’s Route Planner allows you to plot your journey in advance and see where you can charge up along the way. Giving you confidence on even the longest road trips. Then simply save your route for later and retrieve it in the app or using your in-car system. You can save up to three routes for free.
              What is Zap-Pay and how does it work?
              Zap-Pay allows you to pay at over 25,000 chargepoints nationwide with a quick tap of your Hive Charge Card, or via the Zapmap app. So there’s no need for multiple apps or logins across different networks. Simply plug in to any Zap-Pay enabled chargepoint and pay for it using your chosen payment method. You’ll also be able to store multiple payment cards within the Zapmap app – and view your full charging history too.
              How many free miles do I get?
              Your £20 charging credit equates to an average of 100 miles of free charging. That assumes 4 miles per kWh (based on a Volkswagen ID3) at 81p per kWh via a rapid or ultra rapid charger, as per Zapmap’s 2025 price index. Actual mileage may vary depending on your vehicle capacity.
              How do I get my free £20 credit?
              Once your new Hive EV charger is connected to the Hive app, you will receive an email in the next few days containing redemption details and a link to register for your Zapmap account. Simply register online, enter your code and we’ll add your credit to your account – you’ll see it when you download the Zapmap app.
              What happens after I’ve used my £20 credit?
              You can continue enjoying all the benefits of Zap-Pay, even after you’ve used up all your credit.
              How do I know if I’m eligible?
              Our £20 free credit offer is for new Hive EV Charging customers only.

              1. Your £20 charging credit equates to an average of 100 miles of free charging. That assumes 4 miles per kWh (based on a Volkswagen ID3) at 81p per kWh via a rapid or ultra rapid charger, as per Zapmap’s 2025 price index. Actual mileage may vary depending on your vehicle capacity.

              2. Based on Apple app store data, as of March 2025.

Power+ is only available for customers with a compatible EV charger and a British Gas electricity tariff with a smart meter in credit mode. “A year’s driving” is based on an assumed annual mileage of 9,000 miles, rounded from Solera cap hpi data (January 2025) showing the average EV annual mileage is 8,740. Calculations use an assumed EV efficiency of 3.3 miles/kWh and the British Gas EV Power May27 tariff (correct as of 01/04/2026), with all charging completed in Power+ mode during off‑peak periods.
